A 'Star' Villa
This is the third time that we have stayed at this delightful B&B. We are always made very welcome by Doreen, she is friendly and full of useful information regarding the local area, including good places to eat and drink. The rooms are excellent, very clean and beautifully furnished, with plenty of tea and coffee available. Doreen cooks a most wonderful Scottish breakfast,to order, or anything else that may take your fancy! Thank you for another relaxing break, look forward to visiting again

Stunning B&B Star Villa
Doreen just a little note to say a huge thank-you for making Trisha-Jean's and myself first visit to Edinburgh incredible. We are planning to come over next August and your B&B is first on our list. Edinburgh is incredibly beautiful and the Scots are truly warm and wonderful people.Doreen you cook like an angel Trisha tells everyone what an amazing breakfast we had daily. My friend and I arranged a show at the Kings and were looking for somewhere locally to stay. I checked a few of the B&B sites and decided to email direct to see if there was any availability. I received a prompt reply We stayed in the twin en-suite room at the rear. It was very clean and we were provided with tea and coffee with extra sachets in the hall. Good choice of breakfast and everything was cooked when ordered. I would recommend this guest house to anyone who wants to visit Edinburgh. Thanks for the assistance you gave to us for eating places as we required an evening meal before the theatre.

Great stay at Star Villa - really close to the city center
We just had a wonderful time at your house! Very clean, quiet, great breakfast (try everything!), very friendly and helpful landlady! If you should miss your last bus - no matter - you really can get home on foot - any time :). We loved our "room with a view"! We were very lucky with the weather (sunshine - Italian summer temperatures) and stayed here for our entire holiday in Scotland! Unforgettable! Thank you, Doreen!

Starvilla visit in Mid May
My husband and I had a wonderful visit at Star Villa. Our room was very comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious. The location was perfect for exploring Edinburgh on foot. Doreen was helpful in suggesting activities and places to see. Will stay there on our return visit.

Great place to stay
USA I had a great time in the Starvilla. Centrally located and very close to pubs and the city center. Would recommend anyone travelling to Edinburgh to stay there. Doreen is very nice and the room I had was modern, clean, and well furbished. Thanks again!

great stay at Star Villa
We stayed with our teenage children for 3 nights at the Star Villa Guesthouse and had a great time. We loved the accommodation, the breakfast and the location. Doreen, the owner, is an extremely welcoming and helpful lady and we will recommend her guesthouse to family and friends.

ASTAR VILLA
Liz and I stayed at ASTAR Villa guest house for 3 nights. Doreen was a very welcoming and a wonderful host who provided us with maps and information of the city and how to get around. Rooms were very clean, warm and comfortable. Doreen also allowed us to leave our bags after check out and collect them for our flight later that night. We would definitely recommend staying at Doreens guest house.

Wonderful stay in Edinburgh
My boyfriend and I planned a weekend in Edinburgh in February 2011. We booked two nights at Star Villa and it became such a good experience to us. From the first meeting with our host, Doreen, it was a very nice and welcoming place to be. The room was nice and clean, and it had everything we needed. Our host served a wonderful "Full scottish breakfast" every morning, and she was so helpful with maps and guiding for our weekend in the city. It was fantastic to have this place to stay just a short walk from Edinburgh Castle, så we didn't waste time on transport. We would definitely recommend this place.

My husband and I spent a wonderful 7 nights at Star Villa and enjoyed our stay immensely! Doreen was a wonderful host, cooking up tasty breakfasts for us each day and answering our many, many questions. She was a wealth of information and her knowledge of the city and region made our stay in Scotland even more wonderful. Our double ensuite room was very comfortable, very quiet and with a view of the castle! If (when) we return to Edinburgh, we will be sure to return to the Star Villa.
